Here are answers to some common questions from my clients.
If your question is not answered, simply contact me.
Questions about the editing process:
Unfortunately not. Publishing is hard and very subjective, but having a well-written manuscript can make things much easier. It is better to submit a well-edited manuscript at first to avoid negative comments from the editor or reviewers on the quality of the language. Avoiding such comments up front can save time in the long run.
I am your personal editor. I do not outsource editorial work, and I work with each client individually to ensure their highest satisfaction. Detailed information about my academic and professional history is available here.
Sure. I will gladly provide a certificate or letter stating that your manuscript has been edited by a native English speaker. There is no charge for this service.
At this time I don’t edit LaTeX files by default, but please contact me to discuss different options.
I can edit Microsoft Office .doc or .docx files. If these options are not possible for you, please contact me to make other arrangements.
My editing process is simple and efficient.
1. You fill out the submission form with the requested information and upload your file.
2. I review your submission and create an account for you in my document management system. You will receive an email with your login information.
3. Once you log in, you will receive the detailed invoice and information about how to make your payment.
4. After your payment is received, you will be notified of the guaranteed completion date.
5. Your manuscript with preliminary edits will be returned to you in the document management system.
6. You have a chance to review my edits and comments and provide feedback for the second (free) round of editing.
7. I will then re-edit your manuscript to produce the final version, which you will receive in the document management system.
The final product that you receive is a version of your document with tracked changes and comments that you can be proud to submit.
Questions about timing:
Yes. I can push your manuscript to the front of the line for an extra charge. When you pay for rush service, I guarantee delivery in 24 to 48 hours after receiving your document.
Please select the rush option on the Submission page.
For Standard and Premium editing without rush service, I guarantee that you will receive the first version of your manuscript within 3 business days (Monday through Friday). You will receive the final version within 1 to 2 business days after I receive your replies to my questions. Rush service is available and can be selected on the Submission page.
I can normally return a quote within 2 hours of your submission during my business hours.
If you submit a document during the night I will send your quote first thing the next morning.
I live in the Central European Time Zone, so please keep that in mind when waiting for my reply.
Questions about price and payment:
Yes. If you want to pay ahead for editing services at a level of 1000 USD or more, you will receive 10% off of all your orders until the balance is spent. Please contact me to set up a payment account. A Bioplicity pre-pay account is fast, easy, and a great deal!
There is no payment due date. Unless you have submitted a free Abstract, your document is not edited until your payment is received. This means that payment is the same as accepting my price quote. If you do not submit your payment, I will delete your submitted document from my system after 7 working days.
I prefer to receive payments by Stripe. Stripe allows simple and secure payments with major credit cards. You will receive an invoice at the submitted email address after your order is reviewed. If you need to pay by a different method, please select that option on the Submission page.
Sure. Please indicate your preferred currency on the Submission page. Paying with different currencies is easy with PayPal.
Questions about satisfaction:
Yes. I understand from experience how competitive scientific research is in the real world. I promise to treat all materials submitted as confidential. My confidentiality policy is described here.
